Talha Mobin, a 2024 graduate of Drexel University’s Dornsife School of Public Health in Philadelphia, PA, holds a major in Epidemiology and a minor in Infectious Disease and Population Health. His research passion lies at the intersection of infectious diseases and cardiovascular health, with a specific focus on urban health contexts.

During his tenure at Drexel, Talha undertook a significant project for his Integrated Learning Experience, delving into the outcomes of malaria in children with concurrent sickle cell trait and alpha thalassemia. This endeavor showcased his dedication to understanding complex health issues and their implications.

Talha’s commitment to public health excellence was recognized with the “Public Health in Action” award, reflecting his impactful work at the Lutheran Settlement House. There, he streamlined data collection procedures by consolidating surveys into a user-friendly tool, a testament to his ability to innovate and improve processes.

With a Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery from Pakistan, Talha brings a unique perspective to his public health endeavors. His study on pediatric dental fear in both private and public hospital settings highlighted his advocacy for policy changes aimed at improving behavioral management for young patients in dental care settings.
