Charalampos (Babis) Papachristou, Ph.D., is an esteemed Associate Professor of Mathematics at Rowan University, where he also serves as the Assessment Coordinator. Dr. Papachristou holds a BS in Mathematics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and a PhD in Statistics from The Ohio State University. He completed his postdoctoral studies in Human Genetics at the University of Chicago. His research expertise lies in statistical genetics, biostatistics, and genetic epidemiology, focusing on the development of methodologies to identify disease susceptibility genes and analyze genetic data. His recent academic endeavors include exploring the heritability of DNA methylation and investigating gene-environment interactions. Dr. Papachristou has received the Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching in recognition of his dedication to education.
