Carmen is a first year graduate student in the Masters of City and Regional Planning program at the Bloustein School of Rutgers-New Brunswick. During her time at Kean, she studied Interior Design which had sparked her interest of researching how certain environments impact the success and health of individuals within certain spaces. She has conducted various studies on how learning environments may affect the success of children with neurologic conditions. She then went on to become a McNair Scholar where she was able to further her study with the focus of college students in educational environments. Carmen’s research has been presented at various research symposiums at Kean University, SUNY and University of Maryland.
